Events at the Hillside Memorial |
Since its inception in 2006, the Hillside has been the site of public gatherings on special days of remembrance.
Vigils:
We host moving community events with song poetry and guest speakers. It’s a time to gather with community members, veterans and blue and gold star families and are often attended by local and national political leaders.
Work Parties:
Volunteers ages 10 and up donate time and energy to maintain the iconic hillside. We paint, and replace fallen crosses and other symbols and generally spruce up the site. It’s a wonderful way to pay respect and gratitude. We’ll provide the materials, you just show up with some time and energy.
